MED-VALU'S Physicians Peer Review Program

MED-VALU nurses cannot deny any medical care. Although, the MED-VALU physicians peer review program does enables MED-VALU nurses to refer cases to highly trained medical specialists who make a more detailed determination on the case. After a MED-VALU nurse reviews a case and determines, for any reason, (excluding lack of information, unless the state mandates) the case does not meet pre-established certification requirements, then the nurse refers the case to the MED-VALU Nurse Auditor. The MED-VALU Nurse Auditor then re-exams the case and sends the information to the Medical Director at Physicians Review Network (P.R.N.) . The Medical Director at Physicians Review Network then matches the case with the correct specialist and that specialist contacts the attending physician for further review. An outline of the entire MED-VALU physicians peer review program can be seen in the MED-VALU Flow Charts.

Physicians Review Network is comprised of over 200 active board certified physicians nationwide, who represent over 50 medical specialties and sub-specialties. To further serve our MED-VALU clients, we have, in conjunction with Physicians Review Network, created the MED-VALU Medical Management Team the main purpose of the committee is to create and revise certification requirements.
